Julie is passionate about creating sustainable, impactful architecture that thoughtfully balances design and engineering. Her entry into the AEC industry began as a construction materials engineering technician where she developed a strong foundation in how buildings are made and performed. A study abroad experience in Malmö, Sweden further sparked her interest in architecture and sustainability, exposing her to innovative design approaches and environmentally conscious urban planning. That hands-on experience, combined with her international perspective, enriched her understanding of the relationship between materials, structures, and the people who occupy them. With a focus on sustainability and user-centered design, Julie is driven by the belief that well-designed spaces can positively shape how people live, work, and connect.
What Julie loves most about her work is the constant opportunity to learn—whether it’s exploring new materials, collaborating across disciplines, or uncovering creative solutions for retrofit projects. She thrives on the problem-solving side of architecture, especially when it means improving someone’s day-to-day experience through thoughtful design. For her, the most rewarding part is knowing that a well-designed space can make a real difference in how people feel and function.
Outside of work, Julie enjoys spending time with friends and family, often sharing home-cooked meals or relaxing with video games. She loves puzzles of all kinds—whether it’s a tricky jigsaw, a new recipe in the kitchen, or a crochet project in progress. An avid powerlifter, plant enthusiast, and lover of the outdoors, she finds balance in both movement and quiet moments, always looking for ways to stay grounded and creatively engaged.
