AJ Bellavia

Director of Quality

“Say it once right, say it right….. so you don’t have to chase as much through when it changes.”

Growing up, AJ vividly recalls watching film strips in school about Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater and Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello. He spent his childhood observing houses being constructed in his neighborhood, which prompted his curiosity.

The opportunity to solve complex problems motivates him. As the Director of Quality at APD, AJ is responsible for implementing QAQC processes and procedures, conducting reviews, and mentoring staff. His efforts ensure that APD maintains the high-quality standards it is known for.

Outside of work, AJ enjoys spending time with his family, traveling in their fifth wheel, landscape and sports photography, hiking, kayaking, reading, and cooking on the grill and smoker.

AJ’s favorite project was Innovative Field in Rochester, NY. He loved being part of a project that would have a lasting impact on families over multiple generations. He has personally experienced the results of this project with his own family.

Tied for a close second is the City of Rochester Public Safety building and Spencerport Fire District, Station 1.
