Sean O’Keefe

Project Designer

“Architecture is both a Verb and a Noun.” Paul Battaglia, UB, 2021

Sean blends his background in arts and technology seamlessly into his architectural career. His passion for architecture was rekindled during graduate school when he recognized the profound impact it has on the people who inhabit these spaces. Committed to sustainable design, Sean focuses on enhancing lives by creating high-quality environments.

At APD, Sean is enthusiastic about collaborating with brands that value space and sustainability as much as he does. He excels in fast-paced design projects, allowing people to experience the spaces he helps create more quickly than in traditional architectural disciplines. His portfolio at APD includes projects for ALDI, Taco Bell, and Del Taco.

Outside of work, Sean enjoys various creative projects, including woodworking, gardening, and painting. He also likes to relax with video games, either alone or with friends.

Favorite Project

Sean’s favorite project was a program during graduate school at UB under the 2023 Grows Graduate Studio. This program allowed for him to make a real difference in a marginalized community in Buffalo by doing work with the PUSH (People United for Sustainable Housing) Buffalo. This experience as a student was wildly impactful.
