Check out the newly opened ALDI USA in Irondequoit, NY! This ground-up building was carefully designed by APD Engineering & Architecture, PLLC, providing Architectural, Structural, and MEP services. A big benefit of this local project was that our team could visit the site frequently to observe and document the construction process.
This design is based on the V7.0ER Prototype, with the inclusion of various embellishments per the AHJ, such as a 50% glazing requirement for the East Ridge façade. This was achieved through a variance of slightly under 50% and by replacing the aluminum composite panels at the logo field with spandrel glazing. We also adhered to a 360 façade architecture, necessitating additional Nichiha fields.
Thank you to everyone involved, especially Vanessa Banks, NCARB, the APD Engineering & Architecture, PLLC, Project Manager.
