Jim Davis was recently elected Commissioner at the LeRoy Fire District, adding to his responsibilities as the President of LeRoy Fire Dept. Inc. on the business side and as a Lieutenant in the Fire Police of the Department. As a fire commissioner, Jim plays a crucial role in safety inspections, promoting fire prevention education, and overseeing various aspects of the Fire Department’s operations, including command, control, administration, budgeting, and discipline. Additionally, he coordinates and plans fire prevention and firefighting activities, evaluates performance, negotiates tax allocation, and addresses fire safety violations.
In 2023, Jim’s department responded to 323 alarms for service, encompassing fires, rescues, accidents, hazardous conditions, and service calls. Jim actively participated in 109 of these calls, earning him the impressive rank of #8 among the Top Ten responders for the year. Join us in congratulating Jim Davis!
