Founded in 2019 by Michael Lempert with the help of Daniel Smith, PE , and Brent Powell, APD Engineering & Architecture, PLLC’s Fire Escape Inspection department has inspected over 60 fire escapes, including inspections for Alfred State College – SUNY College of Technology, Buffalo State University, Elim Bible Institute, the Historic Palace Theatre in Albany and dozens of Rochester residential and commercial properties.

We want our clients to pass on their first inspection, so we publicly provide a pre-inspection guideline for building owners. It identifies the most common failure points so repairs can be made prior to our inspection
