Rising lake water from Lake Ontario was threatening the Westage at the harbor condominium complex. This project created a 3′ high x 121′ long flood wall in order to protect the complex’s courtyard from the rising water levels. The steel piling wall extends 12′ below grade and connects two existing buildings. Two stormwater drain lines were intercepted and re-routed with lift pumps to remove roof and surface storm water from the courtyard to the lake. Work included permit reviews with NYSDEC US Army Corps of Engineers and the Town of Irondequoit floodplain process.
APD also coordinated geotechnical & structural engineering and provided construction administration services.
